Voom

Voom’s songs range from slower tempo heartbreakers to big, bold indie rock tunes. One minute, frontman Buzz Moller is yelling about wanting to ‘B Your Boy’, the next he’s admitting that ‘We’re So Lost’. The band has had an up-and-down existence, disappearing for years at a time before emerging again as powerful as before.

The band’s origins go back to 1982 when Buzz Moller met Andrew “Mac” Macaskill at Sweetwaters Festival. They went on to room together at University of Auckland student hostel O’Rorke Hall and their early jams led to a ramshackle set at the following Sweetwaters on the small Aerial Railway stage.
