Yumi Zouma

Yumi Zouma had a swift rise, finding an overseas label despite only having one song and within a few months of forming, supporting Lorde in front of 10,000 people. Their breakthrough didn’t come from brash pop hooks – instead their laidback indie pop rode on stripped-back grooves, chiming guitar licks, and dreamy vocals.

It might have been understated but it was an addictive sound and soon they were touring the world and building an astonishing career, though it flew under the radar of many back home.
