A selection of rare photos from Christchurch photographer Gordon Bartram, capturing just a small part of a vibrant live scene in the city in the early 1980s. For some reason few images seem to exist of bands playing live at the time, and yet it was a scene that would influence and help create the path for New Zealand alternative and indie music for many years to come.
