The Electric Confectionaires

In 2003 The Checks, a band from Takapuna Grammar, gained a place in the SmokeFree Rockquest national finals and in the musical and cultural landscape of New Zealand. Their influence was as close to home as it was widespread, with another band forming within the school and following hot on their heels.

A little over a year later The Electric Confectionaires won Rockquest 2005 and the hearts of many around the country for their quirky pop songs and energetic live performances.
